Obviously, we know and love wine; it’s our passion and our business. But we are also passionate sports fans. As the Official Wine of Sports®, we wanted to partner with an organization that shared our creative passion as well as the love of the game. Together with the Cleveland Cavaliers, we have found that shared perspective and much more than a brand sponsorship relationship. Instead, we are collaborators, creating something truly unique for the fans of Wine & Gold and the wider Cleveland community, far beyond the brand banners inside the arena. Together, we have created Cavs Cab.
That first creation is a wine made by—and for—the Cavaliers family. Inside the bottle is a very special wine blend sourced from the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and personally curated by Cavs legend Austin Carr.
And the outside of the bottle is just as special. Its label, created by local Cleveland artist Aaron Sechrist, bleeds Wine & Gold with a timeless design inspired by The Land. And because each bottle sold will help raise money for The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, it is truly a wine created by and for the Cavs community.
As Shelly Cayette, Cavaliers senior vice president of global partnerships, put it, “This partnership is about more than just wine. It’s about creating memorable experiences and we believe this is a fun way to connect and celebrate the team, all while enjoying fantastic wine and helping the Cleveland community fight hunger as well.”
As you can imagine, we are quite proud to bring this to fruition with the storied Cleveland franchise. And this is only the beginning for the Official Wine Sports.
