Introducing the 2018 First Responders Charity Campaign

As you’re all very aware, late 2017/early 2018 was a devastating time for the Santa Barbara, LA, and Ventura counties of Southern California. The historic fires preceded the devastating mudslides in early 2018 and as LA residents, we watched it all unfold in real-time in the local news. We knew we had to do our part to support the victims and the people who were going into harms way to rescue, aid, and care for the many victims of these disasters.

We wanted to utilize NP and do all we could to contribute to the local relief and honor all of the heroic First Responders who are always there to spring into action and save many, many lives throughout these catastrophes. So here we are now with what we think is an awesome 3-component plan to help raise as much money as possible for our fellow Californians and the First Responder’s who risk their lives for us daily:

1. We have teamed up with Crowdrise to launch a campaign to support those who have been affected! All funds raised will go to a 501(c)(3) called the Direct Impact Fund and will be distributed to provide relief and financial support to fire victims and charities on the ground doing the most impactful work. The two charities we’ve vetted and chosen to support are: Help California/RakLife and The First Responders Outreach through the Gary Sinise Foundation. $10, $15, $20…it all helps in a huge way. No donation is too small and every penny lands in the hands of those in need.

2. We have created 2 new wines for the March 1 wine club shipment — “First Responder’s Red” and “First Responder’s Rose’” — and will contribute a portion of the proceeds to the Direct Impact Fund we are supporting via Crowdrise.

3. We will be running a t-shirt campaign to extend the fundraising effort beyond wine and our wine club. Wine can’t ship everywhere in the world but tees can and we know our loyal community always steps up to support great causes so we don’t want to limit our impact by only allowing U.S. residents to participate.

Stay tuned for much more info on this campaign throughout the month!
