Playoff basketball is in full swing, America’s Pastime is under way, and our kids are steadily returning to the pitch for some classic (and sometimes comical) youth sports. Some sense of normalcy is creeping back into our lives, and sports are playing a prominent role.
Sports have always been a source of health, outwardly physical. But more recently, it has become incredibly apparent just how much they contribute to our mental health, as well. Whether it’s competing ourselves or watching others battle on the court, field or otherwise, sports provide an outlet and a means to shut out the noise of the daily grind, if only for 90 minutes. Sports are woven into our societal fabric, and if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that these threads are vital to our sanity and our health. Without competition, where would we be?
With that in mind, it’s time to raise a glass for sports. As you know, the Nocking Point crew are major sports fans, and we are the Official Wine of Sports. So, here’s to you, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, Call of Duty, football, cornhole, water polo, checkers, golf, NBA2K, Madden, soccer and all forms of competition.
It’s GAMETIME, and we are here for it.
